This notice explains how courses published on MyISL relate to their source materials. It sits alongside, and does not replace, any Terms of Service or Privacy Policy.
MyISL provides tools that help authorized users and organizations turn source materials into structured instructional content. This may include Sections, Lessons, learning objectives, summaries, vocabulary, Practice activities, Mastery assessments, worksheets and related educational materials.
A course published through MyISL may be presented as an instructional publication while remaining based on, derived from, or informed by identified source material.
Publishing through MyISL does not transfer ownership of the underlying source material to MyISL or to the publishing organization.
Rights in original books, recordings, lectures, videos, documents and other source materials remain with their respective rights holders, as applicable.
Organizations and users are responsible for making sure they have the rights, licenses, permissions or other lawful basis needed to upload, process, adapt and publish source material through MyISL.
MyISL is designed to preserve source and publisher attribution where that information is available.
“Created with MyISL” identifies MyISL as the technology used to help create the instructional publication. It does not, by itself, claim authorship or ownership of the underlying source.
Where a publication names an organization under “Reviewed & Published by,” that identifies the organization responsible for reviewing and publishing the MyISL instructional publication.
It does not mean that the original author, lecturer or rights holder reviewed, approved or endorsed the publication, unless that relationship is expressly stated.
MyISL may use automated and AI-assisted processes to help structure and generate educational materials from supplied sources.
Publishing organizations remain responsible for reviewing generated content for accuracy, appropriateness, attribution and faithfulness to the source before publication.
“Publication” and “Publication Version” are MyISL content-management labels describing an edition released to learners. They are not a statement about legal ownership, copyright status, or whether any particular use of a source is authorized.
